Class Action Cases

Davis et al v. Beam Team Inc. (San Bernardino Superior Court Case No. CIVDS 1800073)

Law Office of Kelly Chen, along with co-counsel, brought a class and representative action lawsuit on behalf of current and former workers of Beam Team Inc. in California, alleging the following: failure to pay minimum and overtime wages, failure to reimburse proper business-related expenditures, failure to provide accurate wage statements and other Labor Code violations. 

Tseng v. Nordstrom Inc. (Central District of California, Case No. 2:11-cv-08471-CAS-MRW)

Law Office of Kelly Chen, along with co-counsel, brought a representative action lawsuit on behalf of current and former cosmetic employees of Nordstrom in California alleging Nordstrom's failure to provide reasonable seating to its cosmetic employees in California.


Final approval of the PAGA settlement was granted by District Court on January 8, 2018 for a total settlement amount of $995,000.   

Barragan v. Life Alert Emergency Response Inc. (Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BC556127)

 Law Office of Kelly Chen, along with co-counsel, brought a class and representative action lawsuit on behalf of current and former account executives and other sales employees of Life Alert Emergency Response Inc. in California alleging misclassifications as independent contractors, failure to pay minimum wages, failure to provide accurate wage statements and other Labor Code violations.


Final approval of the class action settlement was granted by Superior Court on March 2, 2017 for a total settlement amount of $1.96 million.

Gregory v. Amerimex Communications Corp. et al (Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BC670901)

Law Office of Kelly Chen, along with co-counsel, brought a class and representative action lawsuit on behalf of current and former sales representatives of Amerimex Communications Corp. dba Safetynet Wireless and T.O.P. Marketing Group, Inc. in California alleging misclassification of employees as independent contractor, failure to provide wage statements and other Labor Code violations. 


Final approval of the class action settlement was granted by Superior Court on July 22, 2019 for a total settlement amount of $232,000
